Two thousand and fifty five new cop cars and counting

Back in 2024, while visiting my mother in one of Greece’s oldest hospitals, I started filming what I was seeing during long walks and cigarette breaks.

Watching her struggle with pain, surrounded by a healthcare system struggling with its own basic needs, made me sad and angry. After another healthcare experience with my sister a few days ago, I feel it's time to release this material.

Somehow, these places ground you. They remind you of the shit we learn to accept as normal. But we shouldn't.

With this series, I want to document a reality where basic needs come second to vehicles, while people struggle to afford a small apartment in Athens with mould on the walls and no heating.

How many more vehicles before we start fixing the things we actually need?

More to follow.
